Grape harvest in Pantelleria

Everyone is ready for the first day of exploring the island. After breakfast we will head straight for two of Pantelleria’s must-visits with our mini-buses: Lake Venus (1) and the Gadir Baths. It is in these places that you will understand the meaning of the phrase ‘Pantelleria an open-air spa’.
First stop at the Lake of Venus, the legendary place where the goddess Venus came to be reflected in her reflection every morning. It is a volcanic crater that has created a basin with a unique ecosystem. You can relax by immersing yourself in the small basins with warm water or by sprinkling your body with natural mud, which is considered an excellent treatment for the well-being of the skin.
After this relaxing stop, we continue the tour, passing by Cala Cinque Denti (2) and then reaching the marina of Gadir (3). This is a thermal resort par excellence, thanks to its pools of thermal water carved into the rock. We will continue this morning of relaxation, because it is in this small harbour that you will have the opportunity to approach, for the first time, not only the warm waters, but also the sea of Pantelleria.
After relaxing, we will have lunch in a local restaurant, where we will taste only typical recipes.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

The small harbour of Gadir has long been the only example of a fishing village on the island, where Pantelleria’s sailors used to sell their freshly caught fish. Cala Gadir is still very much alive and you can still see the old fishermen weaving their creels with reed or preparing their nets for fishing.

Breakfast and then everyone out in the fields for the harvest. We start the morning by participating in the Abraxas winery’s grape harvest in the vineyards adjacent to the Bukkuram estate, where we will pick zibibbo grapes with the help of Paolo, the winery’s representative, who will explain the cultivation and production techniques for Pantelleria wine and passito. Once the grapes have been picked, we will go to the Kuddia Randazzo winery (4) on the slopes of Montagna Grande. Here we will follow the production process of the Pantelleria wines and passito of Tenute Scuderi. Here, surrounded by nature and tradition, you will enjoy a rustic lunch in the cellar.
In the afternoon, return to the estate and free dinner.

After breakfast we will head to the port of Pantelleria (1) to begin this day of sea and relaxation. The full tour of the island will allow us to visit numerous coves such as Nikà with its thermal waters, being fascinated by the colour of the seabed and the spectacle of the coastline that offers imposing cliffs and numerous caves. There will be several opportunities to stop for swimming and snorkelling. There will also be a stop for a light lunch on board.
At 16.00 we return to the harbour and head for the accommodation.
Return in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.

Today we will visit wine and agricultural product companies in the area where it will be possible to taste and purchase typical products.
Lunch at the Konza Kiffi farm and return to the hotel in the afternoon and free dinner.
